License plate relocation?

hey guys just trying to get an idea of what the interest would be for some license plate relocation brackets and what you guys would like for a location for your plates. My first idea was something that mounted to the passenger peg brackets. Let me know what others you guys think you would like. and how you would like the plates lighted or unlighted or if you just want to figure it out yourself. Keep in mind I'm pretty sure that state laws mandate the license plate to be illuminated.

I make and sell these, essentially the same as just flipping the stock backwards but it's 1/4 the weight. Have you ever held that stock steel one in your hands? That bitch is heavy! I thought about doing something similar to what you have in mind but some states have really picky laws on that so I figured this would be most universal. It's actually even illegal in my state WI but cops don't bother you unless you get pulled over for something else.

I didn't mean to thread jack. I was just giving you an idea. By all means you can make something that mounts wherever you'd like but keep in mind some officers like to give you a hard time.

as far as the light goes, in that thread i posted, it shows how i cut the tail section out under the brake light. On our stock brake lights, there is a clear lense on the bottom. If you cut that would it lights up the plate really well.

no problem maas, I'm from wisconsin as well but stationed in nc I was goin to research this a little more I like that plate you made tho I was just thinking of other ways to mount it other than under the tail.

Lets see a picture of the rear of your bike looking straight on at it Maas.

Ive seen people bend them around the back of the rear pulley. Im not a big fan of that look tho.

Had my stock plate bracket cut and flipped on my Firebolt when it had a stock tail.

i want a vertical side mount. i was thinking using the bolt holes for the rear caliper to hold some kind of bracket and getting longer screws but i dont have the resources to make something. can you help?

this is what i did with mine but after taking a pasenger the plate got tore up by the wheel so i had to move it again

I like Maas562 setup.The only thing maybe is moving the plate a little closer to the tail light in case you ride two-up it won't be so close to the tire.

Mines not relocated but is tucked uP as high as possible.

What's wrong with the stock firebolt plate mount? I cut off the arms that connect to the blinkers, Perfect. More of a market in the lighting rear situation imo.

Mine is the stocker cut down. I just pushed the plate up nd drilled new holes in it.

I mounted mine using the caliper mounting bolts. I had to grind away material on the caliper mount to make it work and i am very pleased. i used the stock lightning light and 6000 miles later it srill good. Had 3 troopers look over the bike at a road block with no issues and there main attention was on the back of the bike.
