Hi,

I need to lift the rear of the bike to take shock out etc.
Can I hook it up to the tail rails (dont recall the correct name right now) or are they too weak?
Or is there a better way?

Thanks
Gabor

Not sure about the seat rails but you can lift it from the stock muffler. There are lift points marked on it.

I have lifted the rear of my Ulysses using the rear seat rails. I used ratchet straps from a hook in the rafters of my garage. It seemed to work fine.

Ok cool.
Only need to fix fan and fuel pump. Shouldn't be up there for too long.
Ill put something under the engine to support in case it decides to come down on me. That headache would be awful...

You'll probably be fine. The closer you can get to the frame/shock support the better.

There is a bar right in front of the shock that works great for main support.
