Lifters

So, i have taken the heads off to rebuild them and clean all the carbon junk out of everything and I took the lifters out to check them. I maked which one went where but failed to note if the oil hole went towards the cylinder or towards the outside (if it matters at all). I can't find anything in my book about it. If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't matter. Just make sure to orient the flats correctly (facing front and rear).

Down load a manual and you'll save yourself a lot of heart ache and time.
I believe the manual mentions the orientation of the flats.

I have the book. I just didn't see anything in the book on which direction the little oil hole had to be pointing (eiither towards the cylinder or away from the cylinder)

It won't matter, the whole area is pressurized. Just line up the flats
