Hey there buell people. Just picked up a 2005 xb9r that went down. Damage wasn't too bad but I want to put an xb9s front end on it and I cannot figure out where to get the brackets that hold the windscreen/blinkers right above the headlights. Any suggestions on where to look would be greatly appreciated.

You're going to have to do a lot of trial and error to figure out how to fit your ECM, fusebox, horn and other miscellaneous wiring behind that windscreen going from an R to an S front end. The wiring set ups between the two models are totally different.
Do some google searching on "buell XBR to XBS front end conversions" before you proceed. It's not as simple as bolting on some brackets and a windscreen.
It can be done but it's not easy.
To change my set up from an R to a single headlight I actually swapped a complete S wire harness for my R harness.
The easiest conversion is S to R.
Not saying anything about your skill level or anything, just look into what others have done before you start buying parts.

I have done some research. I actually found a nice write up through here on how to fit the stuff behind the wind screen. I do have a mechanical background and I work in metal fabrication for a living. I just cannot stand the front end of the firebolt but I picked up an 05 for 900 bucks the other day with minor road rash and there's a lot of winter left here in CT lol

I will. As of right now unless I can find those brackets its getting put back together as a regular xb9r. Which I can live with I've just always wanted a lightning and this firebolt just fell in my lap. So if anyone has any leads and could send me a message I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks guys. Also I've never used any forums before and I'm on my phone. How do I go about posting pics?
