Lightning tail swap

I have a 05 xb12r and I am looking to do a lightning tail swap. I'm wanting to use the longest seat I can. What kind of parts, from what model bike am I looking for?

What colour is your bike? I just did a xb12r front conversion on my 2010 xb12ss. Looks awsome. Contemplating a rear swap. But i want only black parts.

I've got a blue and gold xb12r but I'm just gonna buy a tail section outrite. I'll be keeping my tailsection in case i ever decide to go back. I havent seen many with that color scheme so it would probably be hard to locate one.

Also is a ss a direct bolt on? I thought one of the lightnings have a different frame?

i know if you put and s tail on an ss there is a difference in some of the subframe holes. alignment wise. not sure on the r models though

You do not want to use the SS it would look poopy. Use a lightning seat that has more of a dip tp it. im telling you the SS is to long, you can ride three people.

I'm not a big fan of the really short seat on the firebolts, to me they look like theres too much front end for size on the bike.

Also any one have any pics or a photoshop of a ss seat on a r?
