I use the Orange no squeek stuff for brakes. I use a very small amount and it basically siliconizes so it holds it in but is still simple to remove if necessary.

So the bit of changes I've been doing lately I've noticed a good bit of loctite should I put loctite on everything when I put it back in?.... and I will be installing the primary in a few days I assume I should use red loctice on the primary bolts

Read the service manual and go with what it says. I have found that blue Locktite is the best all around if a certain type isn't specified. The green just doesn't hold as well.

Ya know, I've never really liked Locktite. My Buell came pretty much dipped in the ****. It's a pain in the ass to work with (clean up)when it's hard. My bike is getting the drilled and saftey wire treatment this year. I think it looks cool and gives me a reason to use $70 saftey wire pliers. :D Wayne

i've only used red and blue loctite around the shop. red is used for engine internal; blue external, brakes.

i use blue if i plan on removing it sometime in the future. unless its something very specific that calls for red. wait what am i talking about i almost never use the stuff...but if i did id use blue.
