At least they were not misleading people... by representing 92HP on an SAE test of the engine connected alone.
Then throw the engine in a bike and slap 92HP on it.
Then your told its 92HP by a salesman... spend $9,000 then find out it's really 78HP...

Same thing with the 1125. Advertised 146 hp. Average is around 122-125 at the wheel.

Actually not every vehicle sold, but a large majority of new vehicles yes. They also lie about the MPG and people consider that ok too... I find it unacceptable. Much like a few other things people don't put two and two together... like...
look at people who drive a hybrid or all electric vehicle and think they are actually helping the environment.
How does a $40,000 car that gets really good gas mileage or is electric better than a brand new 15,000 Toyota that gets solid all around 30MPG.
With $25,000 left over for 6,944 Gallons of gas taking you 208,000 Miles
That hybrid still takes gas and that electric vehicle must be charged in some way... Did people forget where electricity comes from that they are charging their electric cars with? Coal and nuclear power plants generate 91% of our countries electricity... So one could say Electric Vehicles are Coal/Nulear powered. How about the batteries and their cost of replacement which has to happen every couple years.

ok guys so i found another 03 xb9r fairly close for what i think is reasonable and low miles http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwi/mcy/3920461013.html what do ya guys think the only thing i see that turns me off about it is its straight pipe input and what to look for would be awsome thanks again guys
Not bad. Change the pipe out to something you want and call it a day.

I agree with D_Adams. Looks a like a pretty nice bike and the tires look basically brand new. Looks like the bike was well cared for. I would just make sure to see how the bike idles and accelerates since they put on the straight pipes on. You may have to re-map the ECM or get the racing ECM to make sure it runs properly (ie. not too lean or rich). If it feels right and pulls hard, buy it!
I just hope you don't plan on riding it around downtown Chicago. I like being the only Firebolt out on the streets.

ha yea no deff dont plan on ridin in the city i live up on the wis/ill state line so all nice country roads i asked the guy if he still had the stock muffler he said he lost it when his apartment was destroyed in a hurricane so i hope the bike wasnt in that

A hurricane in the midwest? Never head of those happening there, damn global warming. 
Anyways that information would worry me a little. You would think that his bike be in the same area as where he lives and if it was strong enough to destroy his apartment...... But it doesn't hurt to take a look and see what he has to say about the bike and where it was during the hurricane. Maybe see if he is cool with it getting a quick inspection at a local mechanic.

well sadly that guy sold the xb9r before i could make it there to look at it but im going tonight to look at this 04 xb12r and if its all good i think im goin to take her home http://appleton.craigslist.org/mcy/3931650289.html i know i keep askin this but is there anything i should really look for on the 12 compared to the the 9 as to what to watch out for, i just dont wana get lemon thanks guys
