I'm currently in the market for a Buell Firebolt XB9R or 12 will work. I live in Texas in the Dallas, Fort Worth area. Travelling somewhere to pick one up doesnt really bother me so long as the price is right. Any color is fine also. One question I do have is the fact that I'm 6'4" and around 240 lbs. I know this bike has a real short wheelbase so does anyone know how someone of my size will fit on this bike? I would like to find out before I drive somewhere far only to find out the bike is too small for me. Thanks in advance and glad to be here!

I know plenty of tall riders do enjoy the bolt. You can also customize it to your height. (taller seat, lower foot pegs, higher handle bars, e.t.c.) I am 5'9. I am actually in the process of lowering my firebolt.

i'm 6'1" 220 lbs. my XB9S (R tail) fits fine, but after a few hours my knees are killing me. my 1125 fits a little more comfy, but it won't make me pick one over the other. seat to peg ratio is the same.

i've seen a dude your height scoot around on an 09 XB12S. Miami78 on here. didn't seem to bother him one bit. IIRC he bought it brandy-new, so im sure he had his choice

if youre looking for a longer ratio, try a uly, or an STT. there's several different seats for the XB_S's

I chose my xb12Ss for comfort and looks. How many 6'4 riders on bolts we

Ya, u can always mod your Bolt to fit you like a Lightning. Hmmmm. I would like to have a Bolt also but I bought a xb12Ss first.--- Keep an open mind, your a big dude and comfort is going to be an issue.---Sit on some bikes-

A friend of mine has his yellow / blk firebolt on ebay right now and he's in Ft. Worth. I'm 6"1 270 lbs and can't really get comfy on the firebolt due to the leaning foward position, it kills my wrist. I ride the lightning long (SS) and TT , essentially the same bike , they're made for taller riders.

6'2", 175lbs and find my stock 12R fits like a glove. I love the riding position. I learned to grip the bike with my legs and use my core muscles to keep weight off my wrists, so I have no wrist ache issues at all. But for sure, ride one and see for yourself - that's the only way you'll know if it's right for you. Hope it works out, because these bikes are so much fun, it should be illegal!
