First off I'd like to thank all the sponsors of Buellxb.com. Although most do not financially support the site, the engagement, forum moderation and support for the community is incredibly valuable.

That said, it does cost real money to keep this community alive. BuellParts.net provides the primary financial support for Buellxb.com. As you may expect, sales have been in a steady, gradual decline for the past few years as a result of HD shutting down Buell and other creative folks entering the market to help the community. The team at BuellParts.net still works hard every month to keep ample parts inventoried, respond to questions and ship orders out in a timely manner.

Our request for BLUNT feedback: Please let us know why you do or do not shop at BuellParts.net. The team wants to improve and your feedback is critical. We want to hear the good, the bad and the ugly. Thanks in advance!

Well I think for me, I have ordered from buellparts, but not as much as I order at asb. I think the reasoning for this is not about the price, but just because I have talked with Al multiple times and its just on a more personal level. Theres no real reason not to shop with them however.

I have purchased parts for my xb12ss before but there isn't as big of a variety in tuber parts. Also their are more accessories available through eBay.

When I buy stuff I like to do it from one place at one time sometimes they don't have everything I'm looking for so I may go to ASB but everything that I have got from bp has been a good experience fast shipping. The price is up there but I know what I'm getting (unlike eBay) and I will be ordering a set of hero blues this spring from buellparts

Also I think a big part of sales going down is people taking care of what they have and just not needing parts. I hope they never throw in the towel though

Since I purchased my Ss in 2012, I have ordered several items (drive belt, voltage regulator, & some misc maintenance parts) from BuellParts.net. I have always been pleased with the prices, quality & delivery you provide, and I've recommended you to others.

On the other hand, I can't honestly say I feel a strong sense of loyalty to BuellParts.net either. When I need OEM parts I tend to stay away from the dealership parts counters, but I'll base my on-line purchases primarily on price (incl shipping to Canada). I find my aftermarket needs are best met on more generic sites like motorcyclesuperstore, gnarlyparts, and even eBay.

Frankly, my need for XB parts has been pretty minimal in the couple of years & 20,000 km (12,000 mi) I've owned the bike.

I was not aware that you are the primary financial supporter of this forum, so now that I know that, I'll have an added incentive to shop with you next time I need something!

I have bought a few minor items through you but have never needed anything major. The only expensive item I have purchased is exhaust; and I didn't want a Jardine. Most of my other mods are DIY. I would be more inclined to check you first now that I know this is the main buellxb financial support. I would like to see more custom or aftermarket items like americansporrtbike.com, There are a few items they have that are on my short list like rear hidden brake or carbon fiber bits.

Ive ordered several items from Buellparts.net as well as going into the southside dealer myself purchasing items. very friendly and prompt service. A negative point I have noticed is some items seem high priced, compared to other outlets.

nerirl79 - I just purchased a set of pucks from them at the store front for only 50 something dollars about a week ago? Not sure, but I thought it was the same company. Maybe i am wrong.

Keep up the good work, we few diehards are dependent on suppliers like you!

I've never done any more than look up parts on buell parts.net. OEM parts are cheaper from the Hd dealer. I'm a tight wad so I don't buy allot of add on stuff. But when I had a little crash last fall I noticed what Niel said about frame pucks as a good example. They really have the little stuff marked up high!

I tend to agree with the others. My local HD is cheaper and can get it to me in a day or two. I don't buy many parts for mine either.

My local HD dealer gives me military discount. I find it hard to get those discounts at online retailers.

Thanks for all the feedback! Maybe BuellParts.net literally has pricing errors on the site. This feedback has been passed a long to the BuellParts.net team. I'll keep following this thread so feel free to keep it coming.

neilrl79 I think you found an error with the frame pucks. All frame pucks but the Uly's are listed at $57.60 a pair. We'll correct that. I hope others aren't judging the price of all the products on a few key errors like that. Working on it!

I'm glad that price was an error. That error did cost you a couple small sales from me tho. Now that I know I'll be sure to check BuellParts.net next time I'm looking for something. I am looking for a Buell T-shirt, maybe I'll look at your selection tonight.

I didnt realize the main financial support came for this site this way. Ill consider that in the future. I think to some extent by the bikes being limited production and no longer made, the market will evolve. I think as a business it would be fair to be a bit more assertive in letting forum users know who pays the bills and how. I also see the other banner ads on here and just assumed. (im sure they contribute as well and worthy of support).
The problem seems to me is that as an internet based business people are even more ADD/ADHD than normal and the smallest things can skew their shopping habits.
While I favor using a desktop computer and find Crackberrys, Dumbfones and IFruits highly annoying, it also seems to be a big factor, I have gotten complaints about my posts because these phone users dont like to scroll, or it bogs down their gadgets. How does that effect/affect internet sales if the majority are shopping on their widgets?
Ive gotten LOADS of info off here and use it often as a resource. I WOULD like to see more Tuber stuff and support on the site as well. But this is my favorite web forum and tech resource for these bikes. keep up the great work, thank you..[up][up][up][up][up][up]

When you order parts and they are not in stock, they should let you know that with an estimated arrival time before charging your credit card. That was my experience with them and it left a bitter taste in my mouth. I wasn't given any heads-up on the order just a full charge to my credit card with an email the parts would ship in several weeks. IMO, [down]

Their prices are competitive and I wanted to give them my business BECAUSE of this site but I went elsewhere.

I can understand it would be impossible to stock every part but my issue was the lack of transparency on the ordering process.

I don't like the website layout of buellparts.net. Also, they don't offer as many modification options as ASB does. For example, on ASB you can buy 4-5 different exhausts, on Buellparts you can only get 1. ASB offers ceramic coating, air box mods, catch cans, NGK spark plugs, scalloped brake rotors, brake pad upgrades, stands, etc..... basically upgraded/aftermarket parts that have been researched and proven to work/fit by Al. He eliminates the guess work. That is why they get a lot of my business. That being said, if I ever need large, core OEM parts, like a new front fork, Buellparts would probably get my business, that just doesn't happen very often though.

BTW just bought a shirt from Buellparts..... that is my favorite feature of your website.
