no offence was meant buellwanted, was going by my limited knowledge of textiles and for myself I would prefer at least 1000 denier with additional fabric at high abrasion areas (back, shoulders, elbows and forearms) and of course armour..

as I posted previously, it is a decent lightweight jacket with good features for a great price but for me living on the west coast of Canada and riding pretty much year round it would not work...

Just out of curiosity buellwanted, have you seen pics of peoples leathers after a crash? you don't have to go fast to have the road eat thru whatever your wearing, with textile jackets being made of synthetic fibres I don't want the friction of sliding down the road to melt it to my skin either, so with that being said to each their own..

Its all good Buddha. Scorpion says it has an entire ballistic shell with armor in the elbow, forearms and back and rates 3 out of 4 (4 being leather of course) in abrasion resistance. I live in Michigan so it is cold in the morning and humid as hell in the afternoon so I need to try and cover all bases. I know leather is the best and I am definitely not into speed so I went with how I ride. Like you said to each their own. A good place to get a review on a jacket or anything pretty much is you tube sportbiketrackgear reviews about everything. Once again its ok man. I love this site and I am just trying to put myself out there and come up with some good conversations. Keep at least one wheel on the ground [cool][up]

I definitely suggest checking craigslist I've never gotten better deals. but I live close to 3 military bases so we get alot of people selling cheap because of deployment and moving I got my Alpinestars TZ-1 leather for 75 mint condition
