So I've been playing with the idea of finally getting my first buell. I've found a few that I really have my eyes on but I have a question for all of you. I'm 5'11" and I'm wondering if it would be worth it for me to wait and find an xb12ss in my pricerange or if I should just go for the xb12s. My inseam is only 30" so I have kinda stumpy legs and a long torso. Thanks for all of your help in advance.

I'm 5'10" with a 30" inseam too and I bought a scg in september only because there was no S anymore in 09. The Scg (I did put the S seat on it)is actually perfect in hight for my inseam I can flat foot it no problem, the S wasn't much of a problem either so I say go for the S or Scg instead of waiting for a Ss unless you want extended fuel range then go for the Ss

Im 5'10" with the a 31" inseam and can sit(not stand) flat footed over my 03' XB9R, so I dont think you will have any problems with the S.

What do ya'll think of the ss model, I'm kinda gravitated towards it because I have a longer torso and arms and wouldn't feel so scrunched up reaching for the bars(and the extra fuel capacity). and btw, thanks for all your help so far

The Ss is longer at the rear, the distance between the bars and the front seat doesn't change.

I have a modified S (rear shock absorber and seat from the Scg), but tried the Scg, normal S, Ss, XT and 1125 R. The distance doesn't change a lot for any of them (depends in fact of the bars).

And with the 09 taller suspension you might be challenged a bit. Like I said the only advantage to the Ss is extended fuel range and for 2 up riding. I triied an 08 Ss and it was fine but to me the look of the bike is very important and since I'm really picky I prefer the S look so I waited for my 09 to show up.

I'm 5'11" with a 30" inseam. I went for an STT with a 2 up seat kit (read Ss). I don't mind not being able to flat foot it. I kinda just lean on my left foot when stopped. Plus, my girl digs being able to fit on the back[smirk]
