I have an 09 XB12R, and ever since I've owned it, whenever I rev to down shift sometimes I'll get a pop or sucking sound out of the air box, like it's gasping for air and backfires into the air box. ECM has been check by dealer and they aren't sure why it's happening. Bike has a Spec Ops pipe and Breather Reroute done. rest is stock.

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

If you have a stock ecm, a tune would help a lot. I am not sure on an 09. I dont believe you can use ecmspy program on it. I use ecm spy on my 04.
Another board member will chime in for sure with more info. This is a really helpful board. A lot of knowledge here.

Not much help here... my bike does the exact same thing when "blipping" the throttle. Will even do it in neutral. It just doesn't like the throttle snapped away from idle.... roll on a bit, then snap it and it's fine.

I too have exhaust (modified stock), opened up intake, and stock ECM.

yea, seems blipping really doesn't work, I've compensated by rolling on most of the time, but sometimes I just forget. it's been awhile, but I'm sure it used to do it with the stock pipe also.
