is there any way to lower my 05 xb12r with out purchasing anything... or what do i have to buy...

You could shave your seat down. the buell seat isnt the most comfortable seat anyways, so shaving down like an inch or .5 of an inch will give you bout an inch to an inch and a half on the ground. all you ned is a staple gun and sand paper. And I would also recomend goggles.

use an xb12scg shock to replace the factory one if you want to go lower than you can take the adjustment piece off also. The front can be lower also. I did this mod to my wife's 07xb9r and its perfect . She has never bottomed out and still has suspension riding with the exhaust about 2 inches from the ground. You will also have to bend you kick stand. Email me @ [email protected] and leave a contact number and I'll call you to give you all the details becouse theres alot to explain.

Lowering a bike in my opinion, is a bad Idea. The geometry of the suspension will be all screwy once you lower the sprung mass. If you just plan on going straight, very little cornering, you should just bought a litre bike and tricked it out. *Shakes Head*

The only screwy part I found by lowering it was it is harder to get the front end off the ground. However, I noticed it is now much easier to do a stoppie and cornering on her 9 is twice as easy than on my 12.

What are you a miget? The reason it sits as high as it does is for handling and cornering clearance. They do sell a Blast for short guys.

i just got dune lowering my 04. using the lighting city scg rear spring and sliding the forks a quarter inch higher in the tripl tree. it doesnt look much better, but handles tghe same and sitts better

The fork diameter is different for the Scg suspension. You would need to swap out the upper and lower tree, although you could get away with just the upper.
