Its not bad, hit a patch of black ice at around 5mph in the center lane I just went into to take a left. Death wobble and put her down on the right side below 5mph. Broke the front right signal, shredded the end of my throttle and minor scratches on the puck. little scrape on the front break lever and rear break pedal. Heres the biggy... Minor scrape on the headers, and swingarm...And My poor brand new Osbe has a few surface scuffs =( Im pretty sure I can touch up paint the swingarm and u wont be able to tell, and maybe the helmet too. Amazingly thats it, no plastic or fork damage at all!

As for me I got a pen head side rash on my pinky finger cuzz I was wearing dirt bike gloves, Imma dumshit i know but they're comfy! Even my jacket and jeans were fine. So off to Ebay for frame pucks and the hunt for Headers. Maybe ill try and get a set of Micron. I already have the heated grips I need to install and flush signals for the front.

And again yes Dave, no plastic dmg at all! Ill get some pics up in the next few days.

Now to invest in frame sliders and axel sliders like I should have done months ago...

Damn that sucks! I have a friend that did that on his 1125R less than a week after he got it. It's good that you're ok. It could have been a lot worse. Now you should just wrap the header! I bet you can get a turn signal from someone on here as well.

And what were you doing riding at night? Call me paranoid, but I wont ride at night unless I'm stuck somewhere and I HAVE to leave.

Dave, you live with deer. I wouldn't ride at night if I lived where you do...

Thaloc, sorry to hear about the black ice. That seems to be a recent theme this month, stupid accidents

My best friend called me said his girl is in labor and babys coming, im the godfather so. Baby boy 8 pounds 10 ounces at 21 1/2 inches[up]. I checked this morning and I scraped my right mirror too, so I think imma just pick up a set of the 1125 mirrors. I already have a set of flush mounts iv been thinking of putting on there too.

Ya I actually thought about that last night as I was going to bed. Imma order everything from ebay today and get it taken care of sometime this week hopefully.

I shoulda took the cage to start with...

Edit: Can anyone suggest some good header wrap, or will any do?

Not so bad all in all, im completly fine(Sore right hip is all). And the dmg is minimal, Going to run me close to $200 im guessing. Im most upset about by brand new helmet, im really hoping the scratches are just surface so I can get some flat black touch up paint and fix it. The swingarm sucks too, but its not really ground down at all, just surface scratches im sure some Buell Touch up paint will fix up.

Iv been wanting to jet coat or wrap my headers and install those heated handgrips, but not fork out the dough so this is kinda forcing my hand.

But imma a new godfather so the night was a gain all in all. I just got a wicked ass story to tell him about the night he was born and I was almost in the hospital next to him...lol

Thanks for the support guys, any ideas/help on any of this is much appreciated! BTW does anyone know if the newer swingarm color is "Mercedes Silver" Found some Buell Touch up paint and thats what it says for the swingarm color.

Glad to here you are alright. The only time I have ever put mine down, is when the Kick stand folded up at the gas station.

hell i find night riding the best prefer nights over day riding....funny how things happen you seen more banged up then i did going down at 95

Thaloc: It's just good to hear you are ok. Never like to hear about anyone going down no matter where or how. Sounds like the bike is ok to. Hope ya get back out there quick[up]

glad to here your ok! i was over in your neck of the woods riding this weekend....snowmobiles (cle elum). damn cold over on that side of the mountains!

OK Dave, I didn't catch it on the first pass, but... There is about a 1" scratch on the plastic right behind the right front turn signal. Nothing too bad, its not super noticable, but ill get a few pics up after work if I can.
