So here's the story. On 5/30 I ordered a drive belt for my xb12ss( I need it to ride) inner and outer scoop for rss and frame paint. The next day I find out my local dealer has the belt in stock but it's 35 dollars more so I email lshd to find out an estimated shipping date. I called and left a voicemail also. I get an email that says " didn't you read, it says 7 to 10 business days" what a effing douche! This guy then calls me and tells me not to be calling him and bothering him with questions. I told him I wanted to cancel the belt order only and he tells me it's already beenoderedandif i canceledi wouldbe charge a rrestocking fee. Besides it won't take long for you to get it he says......I recieved a package yesterday and my belt isn't in there!! Just a note that says it's been ordered and it is gonna be shipped separately....bullshit!!

Wow man. I would being speaking to a manager or something. Thats not right. That guy could have looked and known it was back ordered.

I've had similar experiences with them. I will say that I've gone back and ordered from them multiple times. They are just so much cheaper than everyone else. It's supposed to be a "self service" ordering site where they don't do anything other than process the orders, that's why they don't give any customer service and are rude. Not saying it's right, just the way it is. After finding that out, my future orders were much better.

I feel your pain there. I ordered a part from their website a month ago. They emailed me and told me the price was wrong on their site and would fill my order for an additional 70$. When I called to inquire about why the change. The manager was an ass. While we were on the phone, I googled the part number. I told them Surdyke has the same part number for 30$ more and with the Surdyke's shipping at the time. It was the about the same overall cost I originally paid LSHD1. So I told them either they perform at the original agreed upon price or refund my order. They refunded and I purchased at Surdyke.

Bottom line: I'm not paying an additional amount because they had their pricing wrong and have to deal with an ass on top of it.

I use 'em often, and yeah they could improve their people skills...next time look into the following sites for your parts...have found though, that along with LSHD1, surdyke and newcastle are the best prices on the net.

newcastlehd.com
surdyke.com
stpaulharleydavidson.com
chicagoharleydavidson.com
kutterharleydavidson.com
latusharleydavidson.com
ironmachine.com

lol yep thats LSHD1 great parts source not real social though.
they have always gotten my parts to me without problems.it sounds like you might have pissed them off.

yea, I had some issues with a guy named "sparks" who handles parts as well. Heck, I have spent quite a few bucks with these guys. bought some black ice roulette wheels and polished rotors for the ultra and many other items for the buell as well. don't get me wrong, i always get the stuff and prices can't be beat but if and when you call or email they can be pretty rude. not sure why maybe they don't pay the guy squat? surydyke is a good place as well, they have alway been really nice on the phone to deal with which is a plus imho.

They are a no frills site. But having said that, if you're in business, you need to do the right thing for the customer.

I've never understood their long lead time, no frills or not. I'm not sure why it would take anyone 7-10 days to go pull a part from a shelf or to process an order.

You just have to weigh what you value more, low cost/no service or market price/higher service.

I ordered a couple items from them and they showed up at different times. I emailed them and was told they stock some items, but others have to be ordered in before they ship them out.

I had an experience that they used the 7-10 day on me twice.. I ordered throttle and idle cable and after day 10 my shipping notification came. I called and asked and they said with a sigh.. "7-10 for processing AND 7-10 for shipping.. only saved 5 bucks but lost 2 weeks.
Forever ordering local for oem even if price is a bit higher. At least I get a face to scream at if they F me.

I saved a huge dollar amount on my wheels and rotors and still plan to buy from them on high ticket items when they offer free shipping as in past.

That's all I'm going say.

I love that I can call him directly and have a great conversation, and order all of the parts I need at the same time.

I was worried a few months back about this because of shipping costs on the website. But, it turned out that he doesn't even use that method to ship to my location, and it ended up being nice and cheap. So..... win.

Had an issue with LSHD1 this past week too! I ordered touch up paint and a rattle can of spray paint for my Buell XB

I emailed 4-5 days after placing the order and asked if the parts were shipped or if there is any confirmation and he said the same thing "didn't you see the 7-10 business days".

So I kindly responded "thanks for the update, I was just wondering when I should expect the parts"

Sure enough, the box comes in with only half the order. I emailed them again saying that it was missing, and he told me to "look in the box". Obviously I emptied the box and it wasn't in there, so I immediately emailed back explaining to him that the touch up paint was not in there. Fortunately he said he would handle it...Still waiting for it to come.

I thought I was the only one who had a bad experience, but I guess not.

Most likely will not be ordering from them again.

ive ordered a manual for my v-rod though surdyke. got it in no time and for a great price. it was cheaper than going to the harly dealer 20 min away. as for parts the harley dealer can get me my parts at the same cost as asb. they dont charge me extra unless it has to come from a different dealer. for example: my tank bag cost me more becuse it came from another dealer. had to pai shipping. i got the last complete tank bag in harley system. but when i needed to get plug wires asb and the harley shop wanted the same price. but shipping would be and extra $10 from asb but no shipping charge from harley. both would take a week to get to me. and the parts guy a harley is very helpful. shockin i know. would never buy a bike from them. the dealership is heartland harley/ buell out of burlington, ia. i dont have much money so when it comes to parts, shipping, and wait, i have to look at what will save me the bigger headache. when i flipped my firebolt, asb did do me a solid on parts and shipping. great company. just my $1.27.

Well I got my belt in a few days ago after I emailed them. He says he sent me an email pertaining to the belt being shipped separately but he really didn't(I guess it's my fault)[confused] I'm still waiting for my outer scoop though. I've orderedthrough new castle before and have talked to the parts guy there and they are really nice and helpful. Lshd isn't getting my business ever again

I've ordered from LSHD1 before..they were pretty good and I got my stuff pretty quick..but I ordered hundreds of dollars worth of stuff when I totaled my bike lol

Sucks your getting the run around [down]

Great prices though [cool]
