I'm looking for a good set of saddle bags for my 05 XB9sx. What does everyone here use? Got pics/links?

nick, i was going to go with ventura too, does the rack attach to passenger pegs? and where did top case come from?

Nice rack. Looks very sturdy and versatile. Can a passenger sit comfortabl while the rack is loaded?

I like how the Ventura is kinda like a sissy bar when it isn't in use as a luggage rack. If I ever get something like this, it would definitely be the Ventura.

I've got a Ventura rack too but use a soft bag, great for touring and I just remove it all together when not doing big rides, only 4 bolts. I really need to shorten those front indicators.

Nice. I like that Ventura setup. How about side cases/bags? I've seen the Buell saddle bags, but they seem pretty small.

since I'm a bit of a cheapo... And by cheapo, I mean, "person who makes crap money," I have a question about these Ventura racks. Do all the parts listed on the picture equal one luggage rack? Or are all of these different racks, or just optional accessories?

It's all sold separately. At a minimum, you have to buy the L-brackets and a rack - either the sissy-bar type pack rack for one of the Ventura packs, or the sport rack for a smaller bag. Or both. The grab handle is almost a necessity if you plan to leave the brackets mounted but want to remove the rack.
It's a good, high quality system. I've had mine for years. The best feature is that if you're not carrying a passenger, their rack-packs flip around and ride right behind you on the pillion.
I think Al sells them at American Sport Bike.

Awesome! May have to make the investment. I think this is more practical for camping and overnight trips than a set of saddle/tail/tank bag.

If anyone is interested I built these racks for both the s and ss seat rails. The cases are attached in a way that a key removes them, they are seahorse cases. I used them on a 2500 mile trip and had no trouble. dropped the black ss at about fifty mph and the cases saved the bike from major damage.

I may be interested in making more if I had a few pre orders to make it worth the time.

By the way I ride with a one piece suit over the shorts.

Hey buell fighter I'm def interested. How much are we talking? Those look very awesome by the way. I have a 07ss myself. I love my bike and would love to have the idea of a long ride available to me. I do have soft buell bags and the tail bag and they are great too in case anyone was wondering. Thanks and ride safe guys.

Think about the extra money Ventura could rake in if they made a snap-on back pad that made the pack rack into a comfortable sissy bar.
