Just bought an 00 M2 and am having difficulty with the fuel line routing. When I bought the bike, the fuel line was routed resting against the rear cylinder head with some rubber covering over it. Since I know that fuel can boil inside the fuel line and I'd like to keep hot parts away from the fuel line, is there another way I can route the fuel line?
I was thinking I would adjust the fuel inlet nipple so it faces downward, run the fuel line fron the tank, in front of the battery, and up to the carburetor. I know the fuel system is gravity-fed, but would it work with my idea? The fuel would technically have to travel up to the carb, but only in the last few inches of the fuel line.
