the VIN is an '03 XB9r, non California, US bike, but the second character should be a 'M', not a '4'

Hmm maybe i overestimated him.... Is there any way to determine the year of the motor?

I don't know for sure, but I think that is an '05 XB12r motor.
(don't shoot me, if I'm wrong )

no shooting gallery here, IIRC there were few major differences in the engines, none that would cause substantial problems running a swapped, remapped xb9 ECU. (I have no exhaust servo.)

Thanks nikfleisch, it's funny how deep tissue bruises in my shoulder and chest hurt SOOOO much more than a lopped finger..'[confused]' I would have happily cut off another finger if it would have made my shoulder/chest not hurt. LOL Overall I'm feeling pretty good vs 48 hours ago.
