so one of my oil lines has rubbed through the metal case on the outside of it. and u can see the inner coating. it still works fine but id like to fix it before it breaks all the way through. but my bike is an 04 with an 06 engine so they rely didnt fit to well... is there any way i can make my own oil lines.... like flair some brake line and use that? or do you guys think theirs something better to use.

A local hydraulic shop should be able to reuse your ends and either use silver solder on adapters to JIC or recrimp new hose on your barbs with new sleeves

i work in the hydraulic hose shop at cat and i have thought of doin new lines myself and all the ends are either NPTF or JIC which are very commen and if not in stock can be ordered, here we carry everything needed so i dont think it would be to hard to find some place to make some, just my thoughts. good luck[up]

does any one know the size of the fittings on either end?
i think its 3/8 male on one end. but not sure about the other.

and what size line is it. i cant tell. im going to go to nappa soon and see what they can do.
