Hey guys I need to adjust my primary and cannot seem to get the back tire off the ground.

I tried a block of wood but the bike does not balance at all lol... I'm probably going to end up getting some of those fancy pitbull stands or maybe a cheaper version of them but I was wondering if anyone has made their own jack/stand

Please post pics if you have them.

Thanks

If you have a barn/garage, get a tow strap and attach it to the ceiling and the frame... it will work...

I think ill just weld up my own stand or just buy one lol... you guys crack me up

i do the same thing fidosol, but i just throw em overy my garage rafters. another thing that works is a jack under the swing arm

Get 2 jack stands and a metal rod. Slide the rod thru the axle and place a stand under the side opposite the kickstand, tilt the bike onto the stand and have a buddy set the other stand under the rod. Block the front wheel too.

Make sure the buddy spots you too, it can get heavy and tippy. unce on the stands all is good.

If it falls over it was not my idear. :D

I don't know how strong your peg mounts are but I have used jackstands under each side to get the rear off the ground. and one one the front engine mount.

recently had rear tire problems this was my solution. made a t type bracket to hold the front i know not every body has 2x4 steel tubing, 3x3 steel angle and a welder but i think a couple of lag type i-bolts from home depot and a free garge wall will work. put i-bolts as low on wall as possible and about 4 feet apart. use a floor jack or maybe bottle jack put rag on top of jack so no scratches catch at axle and jack up slide a couple 2x4 under tire get jack out of way. put jack stands under axle and roll tire to get 2x4 out post photos in a minute

I just use 2x8's and 2x4's to build two stands. I roll the bike up on a 2x4- build the stands for that (elevated) height, slide them under the swing arm and deflat the tire. No lifting required just a few strokes on a bicycle pump to remove.

I also use two jackstands anytime I need the rear off the ground. When I need the front up I use the jackstands in the rear and a scissor jack under the exhaust, works perfect.
