Hello from Finland... I registered in this forum because Buells are rare here. Especially 1125R.

I prefer naked bikes. Now I am about to buy a -08 1125R (typical black-blue with a fairing). My plan would be to take the fairing away, put a new handlebar, a single light with a new mount and rise the meter(s). Also liked to change the radiators to a single one between the front wheel and the first cylinder.

So... please any ideas, previous discussions, links, pics?

Then I wanted to know this: bike has a Twin Motorcycles ECM. Is there no sense to replace it with a Power Commander V? I will buy a Termignoni full Racing exhaust system.

This is almost what I want! (picked with Google) http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a513/Juha_Lahtinen/fp00012_zpsceqjeebn.jpg

Twin cycles can reprogram your ECM, you don't need a PC-V.

Check out the 1125CR on internet

It will just require more $ & time to swap parts around

Hi Juha! i googled modified 1125cr and came up with this EBR 1190 Typhon is this the sort of syle? maybe minus the fairing! :)

Thanks guys.. Will check CR model. Tone's bike is nice but no fairing but no double light...sorry. I try to make the bike as "retro" as possible. Like the new Ducati Scrambler, that I was also about to buy but is was just too slow😐

Could you check my Photobucket link? It is exactly what I want... still wonder where's the cooler there. Must try to check the link behind the pic...

That CR model look nice but also there are those cooler boxes I don't like at all. In some Harley model the cooler was placed on the rear wheel... What's the word for that place? Anyway, between the wheel and the seat!

your pic is of a XB Lightning, not an 1125. If you look closely at the top of the headlight area, the white is the fly-screen. It does not have the radiators that an 1125 has. The XB 12's and 9's are air cooled motors. The body pieces below the Frame/Tank is scoops to funnel air through the head area of the bike. On an 1125 the belt is on the left , not right.

From the profile of the bike in the pic, looks like this bike might actually have two headlights. I'll let one of the many XB experts on this forum confirm or deny this. I own an 1125R. Would like to get a XB someday in the near future.

I like the color/graphics of the bike in the pic. Good combo. :D

Juha all the parts in your photo are made by and available from www.frank-parts.de if that helps but as mrlogix says yours is a photo of an xb not an 1125 so not too sure what parts are available for those, Let us know how you get on! [up]
