Anyone know if the manuals on buellparts.net go to a deep enough maintenance level for me to rebuild a transmission? If not where could I find one?

Yeah, the Factory Service Manuals certianly do. There are some links at the top of this page, too. Click on "Buell Service Manuals" to get one of them. For the transmission, it doesn't matter the year or model FSM you get.

I would either recommend having the facilities to print and bind all 500+ pages, or just paying for a real one, if you're planning a job that big.

Thanks a lot afinley. So, if I buy a manual for my 07 12S the tranny stuff will get me through an 03 9R? Because I've been wanting to just buy one for the 12 real bad so i just have it.

Is there a buell/harley site that will let you look at the break down of the parts.Like what you can find for the hondas/yamahas.kawasakis,etc.This would help you see where the parts would go.

The Buell Parts manuals will show exploded views - I happen to have an '03 XB9R parts manual in .pdf if it would help.

well thanks a lot guys. since i know the difference between the two manuals now i will just get an R manual. can someone happen to explain how i can save the service manuals on here to my computer? if not could stevenc150 possibly email me yours? thank u all much

Which one are you wanting? The '03 & '05 Firebolt Service manuals are available for download off this site, just open the link and the toolbar at the top will have a "disk" you can click to save to your Computer.

If you want the '03 XB9R Parts manual (with exploded views) I have, just PM me.
