map help

hey folks
i am a complete newb to buells. so please excuse my ignorance. i have pretty good all around mechanical knowledge and bought my first buell about a month ago. its an 07 xb12r. i have a jardine can and k&n air filter and my bike is running way lean and pops on decel and runs rough. i need some assistance on getting a tune to load on the bike using ecmspy. any knowledge and assistance is greatly appreciated.

wein162, I have the EXACT same set-up as you. I have been playing with ECM Spy a little and now am on my way to getting a better tune. I would be better off spending the money on "thetuniversity" and getting it right the first time but I like playing and learning.
That being said, there is NO easy way to tune your bike once you start making mods. Read all you can find on this site about ECM spy. Download the ECM Spy user manual and read it about 16 times before you start messing around with maps yourself. Good luck and keep us posted.

4 runs to set up each cylinder's cl, 4 runs to set up each cylinders ol. easily done within 1 weekend.

i really appreciate the replies. i will more than likely go through the tuneversity to begin with until i can find the time to learn how to build my own tune.

I just wanted to post again. I have my map dialed in on the top end from 3500 to redline. I'm having some issues that I'll post that maybe someone can point me in the right direction to finish getting it set up. It's so close!
