i got a map from a buddy and it runs great untill i turn it off and restart it still warm and it starts riding a little crappy. one thing i did not do was disable my O2 senser. I think it is adjusting its self when warm and thats why it starts running crappy. i have a feeling if I do dis able the 02 senser it will start runnung good like it does already and keep running good, because it wont auto tune its self to run crappy.

Does this make sence? i also got the map from the ecmspy site, 09 XB12 custom, and it says to disable the 02 sencer so is that probly whats going on?

How do i go about disabling the 02 sensor? Please only exp advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The O2 sensor is just telling the ECM if you're running rich or lean. The ECM then uses the AFV range you've set (60 to 150 stock on the BUEZD0M5 config) to temporarily adjust fueling to match conditions.

Chances are, if the bike is running crappy once warm, it has to do with the timing advance, which is a whole other issue.

Is your bike stumbling at speed, or at idle?

I imagine the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor get's baked when parked.
Mine does this (runs crappy after parked hot) and it also runs normally again after restarting when time passes to cool/stabilize air-box & IAT.

The map itself cannot disable your o2 sensor, to the best of my knowledge. I would try to use the o2 disable function in ECMSpy and give it a test ride.

im trying to figure out how to do it. I have ecm read. I have tunerpro. How do I use the o2 disable funtion in ecmspy?

First off make sure you go under the view tab and choose Proffesional, then on the bottom tabs click on diagnostic and on the right side of the screen right in the middle there is the O2 Sensor box. Click on off and then click burn. let the program burn it to the ECM and you should be set to go.

Keith, ECMSpy won't work for you in that capacity (unless youre using the new ECMSpy Mono). You'll have to adjust the parameter I told you about in TunerPro.
