Hey guys just taking an unofficial poll of the necessity of buell xb parts. So I'm in between jobs right now and need to keep my mechanical engineering skills up. I'm going to start doing some parts in Pro/E or solidworks for my buell xb12r and figured I can have a local machine shop machine some parts for me until I get my own endmill.

The one thing I'm modeling up right now is the front fairing bracket for the firebolts as mine is kind of busted. I'm going to make an aluminum one instead of the magnesium one.

I was thinking footpegs, rearset and some misc brackets and stuff for the breather reroute.

What else would be cool?
thanks
Omar

something like this, license plate bracket

pulley covers also

I wished someone would make a 3 pc set for engine dress up. The Clutch inspection window. The primary chain adjust window and the points cover window. All offered in various colors. Not plastic. Either aluminum or metal.

I have a very nice aluminium R fairing stay setup pic. I've contemplated reproducing them myself... I'd be happy to send you the pics I got.

DrogeN...that's awesome looking where did you find it?
That looks like some CJMOTO.com products. Rizoma I bet. Probably a couple of hundred dollars too.

Saweet. Thanks for the input guys. I just got a TIG welder yesterday so thats one thing off the list. I just have to make buddies with the machinest and I'll be golden haha.

I'm having a hell of a time modeling the front fairingstay for the firebolt. This whole thing is 3d sweeps and weird shapes. That's going to get changed when I'm done :).

Lesley...yeap, way over priced, must be cause it's Italian:D but it looks like one of my son's bicycle crank arm with a slight bend mid-span, mounting bracket base attachment as well as plate support/mount bracket....hmmmm, sounds like a job for 5-0dro, hint, hint...you too readysetgo:D

readysetgo...awesome, let's see what you've got in mind, anything drawn up or in the works?

haha yeah I was totally thinking the same thing thrstr. Yeah I'm in the midst of finishing up my fairingstay.

I'll move onto a rearset next or the crank arm license plate holder :)

with having an '03 xb, the only logical place to mount a licence plate bracket would be on the outside of the swingarm brace, maybe attached bushings to base bracket as an insert where the current bolt heads are and use longer bolts to secure both, just a thought

yea there is, just removed it and replaced only the lower one from the '04 model...she looked like this before
