I had an idea tonight I'm not sure if it would work but will see what everyone thinks. Many people put breather catch cans on when doing the breather reroute does anyone know if it’s possible to use the w aka y bracket (the bracket the holds the oil cooler) as the catch can? I figure you could take the high and of it and drill and tap a hole for a filter and incoming line and drill and tap the low end for a drain. It may be more trouble than it’s worth. Let me know what you think.

i dont see why not; ive seen salt/pepper shakers; beer cans; energy drink cans; some kind of crazy straw thing; if it functions why not

Dave already posted this in my catch can thread. It's totally doable but not everyone knows how to drill and tap or differentiate between npt, an, jic, coarse, fine, metric, etc. type threads.

Would be very simple since you can basically use what ever thread you want as youy are not held down by a prior thread, it would be all up to you on where to tap the hole. I say do it and let use know what you think.

Worst case you would have a little oil in the bracket that wouldnt really do anything, assuming you drill a dump hole on the bottm and dont just fill the entire bracket;)

Are you talking about the 1/2" tubing around the front of the motor that is attached to the frame and motor mounts? If you're going to use that stuff, you will need to watch for stress cracking around the ingress and egress points. Those brackets support the fun !!!.
Any structural changes you make can change the characteristics and longevity of your ride.

I think it would be simpilar to just mount a thin rod along the bracket painted the same color and use it as a catcher.

I JUST ROUTE THE TUBE TO DRIP ON GROUND , BEEN RUNNING THIS SET UP FOR YEARS, CANT REGISTER OIL LOSE ON STICK.CATCH CAN JUST EYE CANDY. 18,000 MILES HARD RIDING.05 XB
