I just saw this video and was simply dumbfounded. I would normally prefer the "soul" of something handcrafted but this blew me away.
 
You take whatever is after the youtube.com. In this instance you copy and paste"RnIvhlKT7SY" and it post the video on the thread.
 
No problem. Btw that 5 axis is a really awesome tool. I couldn't imagine writing the code for something as complex as an off-road helmet.
 
The tech. for this has been out a while, but this is the first I have seen of it. Hell, I'm just learning how to post vids.:D
 
Surely with that technology came the higher end CAM software. I'd imagine it'd be as simple as drawing it in Inventor or SolidWorks and their program converts it over into code. Least that's how a lot of the 4 axis Wire EDMs work.

These days you don't write the code, you just draw it and the computer writes it's own code.
 
Lol yea I know that you don't write the code by hand anymore. I'm just thinking about how much it would take if someone had to do it line by line.
