$930???????..........Dang... It looks like I have close to $2700 in pipes..........looks like I'm rich b-tch.....
And this pipe had no dents in it. Dont all of your pipes have dents from being tipped over?

Onelogue did you win?
I didnt and i was surprised as my top bid $800 which got passed way up. I have a Micron it just has a dent in the header that bothers me. Im running the Free Spirits exhaust now.

If theres no creases in a pipe its easy to pop those dents out or at least partially out. Plug the ends of the pipe in question with expandable plumming plugs found at your hardware store, then fill with water and place in the freezer. The water freezes and expands pushing out the dent.

it can be done with air and a lil heat, but you run the risk of blowing it out if done wrong. Not much air is needed due to the heat causing expansion in the pipe, but regaurdless I would try the freezing first. Ive done it with dirtbike pipes numourous times and the process should work with our headers also.

Air and heat also discolor the pipe so a good polish would need to be done to get rid of the blueing produced by the heat.

Heat and a cold wet rag also work well for pulling dents in thin sheet metal also.....not sure if this process would pull a dent in a pipe but I know it works on body panels.

^I've seen that done with heat & wet rag. I've heard heat & dry ice works on sheet metal also, same concept. Tempted to try it on the dent on bottom of my race muffler just for grins.

Heat and dry ice or freezer?

**** This is for mufflers not headers ****

Never use the freezer method on anything that has internal chambers that are not fully welded to the outer case/body. You run the risk of over expansion from the freezing and then having a loose baffle or somthing of the sort. If it aint to bad find a body shop that uses stud welder for body panels. They should be able to pull damage/dents from the bottom of the muffler.

my northern hater neighbor.....

looks like im still doing it right..

Damn son. That's not a hoarder thats a true Buell fan. Wish my stable had that many!

As far as who bought it, it doesn't seem to be anyone on the forum. Its getting packaged up reallllllyyy well tomorrow and getting shipped out Monday morning.

As for freezing an exhaust pipe to get a dent out...be very careful. You can easily split it open if you don't time the freeze correctly.

Thanks for everyone's interest!
