Rode all day Saturday, vegged out on the couch yesterday, now on my way to work this morning the CR won't start. I can start it if I twist the throttle a little and it stays if I keep on it. The second I let it idle on it's own it dies. It sounds like it's got a dead hole. Any initial thoughts before I tear into it tonight?

a spark plug clean can be initiated manually. Repeat the following sequence three times.
1. roll and hold the throttle wide open
2.turn the ignition to ON
3.wait three seconds
4.release the throttle grip
5.turn the ignition to off

Shoulda checked up on this last night. It was a bit cold so I just opened her up and looked for loose connections. I will try that this evening. I need to get a service manual, assuming it has all the those little tricks in it.

Been testing relays and such. Thinking it's a fouled plug on the front or the coil pack on the front. Unfortunately, doing ANYTHING to that hole, the motor needs to be rotated. Even to drop a teaspoon of oil in. In the mean time Sasha the XB is getting some exercise.

Well, I don't know entirely what was wrong. Tinkering around, the battery voltage dropped low enough to only make the relays click. I did get a code from the diagnostics: B1005 - FUEL LEVEL SENDER HIGH/OPEN. She had fuel and from what I've been reading online, that issue lies within the firmware in the IC. It even has a superseded part number now. After a good all-day charge she started up. Being that start up voltage is key for computer control. I figure the battery voltage probably dropped low enough to crank but not fire up the ECU. Anyways, I figured I would update due to the DTC B1005. Some have been replacing pumps and senders because of this and it seems the problem is in the instrument cluster.
