I just got back from getting a new Pilot Power 4 GT installed. When the mechanic rolled my 06 Uly out he said my bike came in and didn't have a rear pinch bolt installed. They looked around the shop and couldn't find a replacement. This shop is primarily metric. Looks like the shop in California that installed the last tire forgot to install it. I'm I'm New York. Comforting to know that since I road the bike coast to coast without one installed.

Is this a common part? With Harleys maybe? No PN listed in the service manual. Any suggestions appreciated.

Two words:
LOCK TITE

Should be able to find a suitable replacement at a hardware store. I'm not currently near my bike but next chance I get ill measure the length and thread pitch of the bolt and post it.

Unless someone beats me to it.....

Chickstrip, thanks. I have an easier idea. If you can just tell me the size of the Allen bolt, ill buy an Allen wrench and take the one out of my SS and buy a wrench and then take the bolt down to the hardware store and match it up.
Sucks not having any tools here in NY.
Thanks all for your inputs. I really appreciate it.

3/8" allen
It's 41/64" at the allen head. 29/64" at the threads and a little less than 1 15/16" in length.
Thread pitch is a 14 on my hand dandy harbor freight gauge.
Not sure if that helps
