Ok I am prepping for my first DIY oil change_ However since I have been in EU (Germany) I haven't been able to locate Mobile 1. I went to my local HD dealer and they swear by Castrol (actually they'd never heard of Mobile 1 Oil)_ I checked online and it seems Mobile one doesn't have a reference on the German Mobile Oil website_ So is is there really no way to Mobile 1 over here and is Castrol the next best?

Found this version of Mobile 1 in Italy...

and this one which is a bit mysterious...

http://www.mobil1.it/prodotti/racing-2t.aspx

What should I do...?

castrol act-evo is available worldwide and is a great oil in both buells and Harley-Davidsons. competitively priced and i would imagine you get some pretty hot temps in rome. 20-50 is the recommended weight. can also be used in the primary/trans unit as it is motorcycle wet clutch recommended.

I saw Mobil 1 for cars in REAL supermarkets but not sure if they have for bikes also.

I will buy the Motul, with the castrol i had some bad experience with my thumper, the gear box became very noisy and i changed it after 1000km to Motul

The Mutol option seems good maybe I'll go for that. The guys at Twin are a 2hr highway ride away but I can go for a drive and pick a few things up at once_

I say Motul too. Strange about not importing AMSoil, which I believe is the best for our bikes. But Motul 20W-50 is a good second choice.
