Mod Recommendations

Hi Guys,
Great site!

I have an 06 lightning which apart from paint job, tail tidy and mini indicators, is a stock bike.

What I would like to know from anyone is what DIY mods you would recommend, money is a bit tight at the moment, so any that cost little or nothing at all would be best

Very unique paint...looks well done!

The dual headlight on mod is free, and a breather reroute is fairly cheap (I got a used kit for $20). New grips are nice and inexpensive, although it looks like you already have different grips on there. New pegs and/or foot levers are a little more...

Is your rear tire a little low?

the tyre was a bit flat it had just finished being put back together. the light and breather mod look good, not to sure on exhaust as they all seem to need remapping. don't know any thing about doing that

You could take off passenger foot pegs/brackets if you don't need them (very easy mod and it cleans up the rear); you can take off the belt guards if you still have them - can't see in the pics

welcome xb12tiger, never seen a paint job like that on a buell, very nice! where are you from? your plate looks kind of european. you can use the search for mods or everyone here will moes likley chime in. my suggestion would be a custom face gauge from xbdashboards.com. they're pretty inexpensive around $35.00 for a custom one. maybe something tigerish.[up]

Thanks for the link but was hoping to find just the bracket and get a second hand caliper as that one is £320!

Remove the reflectors on your forks. They're just stuck on with tape. What indicators are on your tail??

Oh, and you can DIY your pipe if you've got a welder and patience.

Got my caliper and the bracket should be here on tuesday as well as my new clock insert. I have a breather and pipe just need to get the tee's and make a catch can for the breather mod. Going to have a busy weekend soon
