Ok today starts the cream of the crop of motorcycle racing, MotoGP. Who is your choice or favorite? Who do you think will win?

My favorite is Ben Spies.
My choice for winning the season is Casey Stoner. YEAH V-twins/L-twins!!!

My money is on Rossi until he retires and starts dominating F1 racing. I missed the race (mountain Biking)Motogp is the only motorcycle racing worth watching anymore.

I think hayden will shock us. And i see spies finishing the season third on a privateer.

Hey snareman, I'm pretty sure Ducati's MotoGP bike is a V-four. It's the superbikes that are V-twins. And I'm also picking Rossi, the guy is just amazing. Hoping for Spies though. Wayne

@racepro They are superbikes. If I'm not mistaken I believe they still run the 1098. If not, it's the 1198.

They are not super bikes You can not use a production bike for motogp those bikes are all built strickly for motogp unlike super bike racing were it has to be based off of a production bike. The ducs in motogp are infact v4 not vtwin.

They are only allowed 800cc. That is most likley why Ducati uses a v4 instead of a v2 like there production bikes.

Yes they did make that bike but it was in very limited numbers and you had to already own a ducati to get one. Also all it was was the previous years motogp bike when they went from the 990cc engines to the 800cc engines.

Unless there is a big upset (Stoner or Spies) Rossi will most likely walk away with it again. I would love to see Hayden take it again like on 2006 but....

Lorenzo looks kinda hungry too. Make an impressive comeback last few laps in Qatar. Though he's not my choice. I'm also kinda tired of seeing Rossi always taking all the glory. Need some variety.
