A few months back me and some other shortys were complaining about how bad off-the-rack motorcycle pants look on us short guys in the 5'5"-5'7" range. Anyway, I found some decent pants. I been using them for about a month now and I have come down with my final verdict yesterday after riding in the rain.
These are some really good pants for the price. The workmanship and materials are on par with "Icon" textile jackets like the "Contra" jacket. Price is 86 bucks on this Chinese version of "ebay" but they would easily sell for about 150 bucks here in the US market. The style is real "hip', the knee armor that comes with them I would say is "pretty good" but not "excellent". Textile itself I would say is "very good". You want to wash these things a few times before you wear them to loosen the fabrics and get better ventilation. The pants are lined with good quality mesh and it comes with a removable liner, nice and warm. Stitching is white nylon and seems nice and strong. A lot of nice accents like rivets and leather in spots. Lots of pockets and zippers. These are not road race pants, more like dual Sport or sport tour, excellent "Streetfighter" type pants with lots of utility.
If you are 5'4"-5'6" maybe 5'7" with a waist size between 32-34 you want to get size "M". These are Chinese sizes so they fit a lot better on us shorties. These pants are not the usual "Chinese Market Crap", they look like they were made to be high-end pants for the Chinese market or maybe for export.
If you guys have any questions feel free to ask..

Huh... I'm generally against pants of that cost. I wear jeans with MX knee/shin armor under them. Mostly cause I ride daily. but I like those, and might get a pair to wear on longer weekend rides.

Do they vent better than Jeans? Warmer than Jeans? I need both... so it doesn't really matter, but a comparison would be nice. :D

5'7, and wear 31x30 Jeans... so not sure on what size to get (as always). 32s are loose, 30s too tight. Not many companies make 31. :/ These aren't listed as small, just Med and up.

Sidenote: Bought some clearance riding jeans awhile ago on the net... sizes were listed as "30", "32", "34"... etc. I didn't read the fine print. The store had zero selection. Apparently they were ALL 32 length, just different waist. They fit really long on me.

get size M.. its a Chinese cut and it should fit you fine. you wont look like the Michelin Man. Quite stylish "Industrial" look to them. The knee armor is enough for basic street use but I don't use them, I use my Knox knee armor over them.. there is a pocket for the armor in each knee so you can put any pad you want in there.

when if first got them they were hot as hell but then I found a tag inside that said to wash several times before use. after that they ventilated pretty good, a tad less ventilation than jeans I would say.(about on par I guess) . with the liners inside they are very warm. Its a nice med thickness liner just like in my Icon contra jacket.

They are water resistant, in a very light rain, the water just kind of slides off of them in the slipstream.. in heavy rain you are going to get wet, but I discovered that if I "went commando" the pants can get damp but they feel dry to the touch.. your legs will get wet but as long as you have nothing underneath if feels nice and comfortable with no chafing,, wet in the wind they feel as warm as say an air-conditioned car, you don't "feel wet" but you are, you just get "cool" the mesh liner I think makes that effect... and you can walk around in them wet and it feels normal, they dry out pretty quickly too so it wasn't a big deal to me. I never wore the cold weather liner in the rain though so I cant give any details, but just off the top of my head I would say that with the cold weather liner in the rain you would be damp but warm... the liner feels pretty slick so I would think that it wouldn't chafe you up if you were to walk around in them.. One of the big things I like about these pants is that you can walk around in public with them and it looks cool, just a guy walking around in "cool motorcycle pants", no pre-bent knees or sliders... just cool looking gear. Protection is going to be basic slide protection and basic knee pads.. nothing real special there.. better then jeans though. A lot better I would say. Also the pockets are awesome, very useful... they also look like they can attach to your jacket with some loops but I haven't used that feature yet so don't take that to the bank.. overall a useful piece of gear that provides basic protection and style that exceeds the asking price. In person, they look like 150-175 dollar pair of pants. It actually looks like something made by Icon.. I put it next to my Jacket and they look like a set...about the same quality.

I forgot to mention this.. the seller is a Chinese Department Store like "Macys" so its a reliable seller (they also seem to be the only seller for this item) , shipping is free but it took about 3 weeks to arrive.. so be patient. Worth the wait though, for the style, price and quality level.

I purchased Danise full rain proof armor two piece zip together from motocard in Portugal was around $600.00 and took them to a local seemstress and $100.00 later had 2”. removed between my hip and knee.
But at 5’7” 30” inseam 28” waist and 39” chest, I just plan on having stuff altered if it is important to fit right.
