Highway riding, on my XB12R, I would get about 52mpg over a tank of fuel.

I averaged ~300km (~200mi) per fill-up on my Ss (17l (~4.5gal) fuel capacity) before hitting reserve. Roughly 50mpg.

A lot of wheelies later and I got 37MPG this tank (112 miles)

1125, anywhere from 55 to 9mpg. I average 40-50 when just putting around town. About 140-160 miles a tank when you are easy on it, I always make a point to refill about every 100 miles regardless.


It's really not good for your fuel pump to run with low fuel.

Not as many threads as oil and tire preference, but there is a long history of MPG threads on the forum. Of note, the 08+ bikes do seem to get slightly worse MPG based on everyone's feedback over the years.

Hahah, yeah I've noticed that over the years the oil, tires and MPG seem to be popular, it's ironic that I happen to be dealing with all three right now

Aforementioned 52mpg of the XB is just with a K&N filter, hawk pipe, and tune. That's running 70-85 too.

With my 1125CR I'm lucky to see 40mpg on the highway, usually high 30's. diddling around town, mileage is garbage.

I average around 45MPG on my '06 xb12r. That includes romping on it from time to time

Shinko tires are currently in my shoppingkart, and obviously you should use a K&N filter lol
