My birthday ride.....

Well Im sayin goodbye to my twenties and turnin the dreaded 3-0 on Tuesday[sad]. My gift to myself is gonna be a nice ride on my beloved Buell. Some might say big deal but I live in Northern Ohio and todays temp. is around 20 degrees and Im doubting a heatwave anytime soon. Any tips for cold ridin would be appreciated and probably be put to good use. Ill let you all know how it went Tuesday.

Happy B day!

I just discovered using a neoprene soft shell jacket under my leather jacket dramatically improves cold weather riding. It's much thinner and more comfortable than a hoodie.

underarmor is good but expensive, thin layers also work
just remember that cold tires spin/slid

The most memorable times I rode my bike were through the pouring rain and fighting the FREEZING temperatures. Some of us are not blessed with year around riding weather. Also shows that you just love to ride and you are no poser. Just ride cautiously!

underarmour is a good investment i went riding about 20 degrese with jeans UA legs UAshort sleeve & long sleeve bandana GOOD GLOVES helm warm socks...and no leaning through corners either no traction
Even with all the above i was frozen in 20min good thing i was only reseting my ecm

Well today is the day and I woke up to 4in of new snow and another 4-6 expected. Luckily I watched the news yesterday so I got her out and took her for a spin. It was sunny and a warm 25F. I looked like the kid from Christmas Story and still could only handle about 15 min. All in all a great ride and experience. Heres to being 30[up]
