The Lightning is an awesome choice. Welcome to the family you'll learn a lot on this forum, I know I did.;)

i paid about 7 thou for the bike. it was expensive but i wanted the peace of mind with the two year warranty that it came with.

its got almost 600 miles and is mint.

thanks guys

the bike is great. inspires confidence - for a first time rider... my only concern are the lollipop mirrors. they vibrate so much i cant get a good view.

does anybody have any ideas...?

There's always bar ends, you can shop around online but they can get pricey sometimes up to $70 a mirror, CRG and Oberon are two manufacturers...I have an extra set for $25 plus shipping.

I hear alot of complaints about the mirrors. Mine vibrate like crazy but i can still make out the shape of a car, if i need some detail, i just let off the gas and pull the clutch and it smooths right out, or if i don't wanna lose 5, i just grab the stem of the mirror while on the go, and instant smoothness. crystal clear,... well almost

Postage depends on when you want it.. but you can check it out here.

If for some reason the link doesn't work, it is a 1lb package from 40121 to your zip code, for a flat rate box it is 9.80 for 2-3 day delivery.

Link works fine. Would you send pics and description to my e-mail? h2owerker @ gmail .com (remove the spaces) Also, include a paypal account I can send the payment to.

Thanks :)

thanks man, these bikes are head turners. i find a lot of people have not even heard of them.

riding in traffic yesterday a cager was staring at my bike and hit the person in front of him.

hilarious.

i cant get off this bike. rain or shine. its my commuter up in boston.

I know what you mean. I just got an XB9S a couple weeks ago, and will hop on her to just ride around.

And it's funny you mention how often people stare, and/or ask what kind of bike it is. I never thought I'd get those kind of questions. (living in Milwaukee)

The H.D. guy's don't like it till I fire it up and they hear their beloved V-twin "Potato,Potato" idle they love so much.

Wish mine was as clean as yours. Every time I look at mine I notice another blemish. Or find another problem that has been neglected. :( The guy I bought it from either had no clue, or wasn't very honest...Wish I'd had more time to go over it before settling on the price.
