Hey im new to the forum and wanted to get some feedback on the bike before i buy. Im looking at a 2004 xb12r firebolt for 4200. There is 5400 miles on the bike and the only thing wrong with it is the riders footpeg. Am i getting a good deal on the bike and how difficult are they to fix?

It will take you about 3 minutes and $28 to fix it. Sounds like a great deal to me! Yeah buy it! I can guarantee it will be the best investment you'll ever make. :D

2) not long at all for the fix

3) what's the story on how the beg got broken?

Welcome to the Forum Manuel!! Sounds like a decent deal but you'll know more when you see it in person whether it's worth it or not. Either way, hope it works out for you and Ride safe. :D[up]

i picked up mine last fall. it is a 2005 12r with 10xxx miles. i paid 4500 for it and all i had to do was ride it. i am tickled pink with the deal i got, so i would say the deal you are making is about the same.
i have rode the big harleys my entire life. picked up a blast for my wife to ride and i was amazed at the handling of it. then i was run off the rode by kids and crashed my springer, ran across the firebolt for 4500 and figured it would let me ride until i found somthing else i liked. i really like this bike more than i ever thought i would. it is a totally different bike for me, but it is fun. i am looking forward to this coming year as i didnt get to ride the buell alot last fall.

I bought my '04 xb12r for $3,900. That night the clutch ramp snapped and my voltage regulator quit on me. Few hundred dollars later I'm good to go. Can't be too mad when you get a bike like this for that price. Even if you have to put a few hours of wrenching into it, it's still a money deal.

The story with the peg from what he said is that he was in his garage and it just got away from him and leaned on the peg but never hit the ground. It broke so he took off the passenger one and put it as the rider one. Im definatly looking forward to riding around florida this summer! I love the bike from everything ive read and i like to be different and not go just for a jap bike like everyone else!
