I recently bought a 99 x1 and after the first ride decided this is a bike I will keep forever. I had only ever heard of a blast. But am so happy with my purchase. I am also happy to find this forum. I have been reading it for days before deciding i had to join and ask my questions. I know that you people are gonna get me in trouble witb all the awsome mods. Now that I have decided its a keeper I need to start working on it. It was dropped previously and needs new handlebars, clutch lever, and shift lever. I have checked many of the sites suggested on other posts but I am really looking for everyone's 2 cents. Thanks and sorry this is so winded.

Played almost 20 years then moved to Ohio. I think there are 3 rinks in the entire state. After seeing some of the mods I can't wait to get my hands dirty. I just don't want to rush off and f*ck up my bike. I'd like to learn for everyone eles mistakes.

I have seen your bike on here Nw and it is SICK! Thats my goal to get my bike like yours. And thanks for the welcome.

Blu, start with posting pictures of your bike... We can help you take it from there... LOL!

BTW, I agree--NW's bike is awesome! Him and Pur Pony have me wanting a tuber in a bad way! LOL!

Yea... Pics or its a pink tricycle as the saying goes.

Go buy a tuber already rhino! Before people figure out what they are worth or worse... Sacrifice them for a chopper build!

Don't make me do it, NW--I'm already on shaky ground with the significant other...

:D

OK ill post pics. I live in southern Ohio and we JUST had a storm that knocked the bike over. [mad] It still runs and drives. But it tweaked the handlebars even more. Can u guys help me with how to post pics?

The frame is made from tubular steel as opposed to the newer box aluminum frames (actually extruded and cast, but, well, you get the idea)...
