Well the Buell sits in the garage so I decided to spend the day out in the sand. :D[up]

Well yet another day of fun in th sand. Had 3 jumps this time around, got the second on video, which was IMO the 2nd best the last was by far higher and further, but enjoy.

It is nice, but overpriced. I guess IMHO it is a rich guys truck. I would rather buy a Ford (Not a Ford fan at all) and build it (which would cost less) and out perform a Raptor than to just buy a Raptor.

The Raptor is built for the desert and most guys who buy it will never use it like that, it will maybe see a two track in the fall while hunting or a dirt road for camping, but the susp. is specifically designed for desert running, thus the long travel.

In MI there is really no where to use it so for me and where I live it is a waste.

$45k for the Raptor loaded is a bit overkill, as you could buy a basic Ford build it with more power and then build a sickass custom susp setup and in the end still under spend or at least break even.

I built my truck for desert running but also multipurpose as it has the added height. But in the end most guys who have big trucks or off road truck are scared to actually use them as they are expensive to fix. I guess it comes with the hobby but most just drive them around town and never off road them.

I get a huge kick out of it everytime someone asks me why I beat on my truck so hard. I simply say it is built to off road so that it what I do. Yes I jump it, yes I get it dirty, yes it gets broke, but it is a friggin 4x4, even though it is a 2010 I bought and built it to drive, if I didnt want to do that I might as well have just kept my old car and drove past the dealership when I felt like it to look at the truck in the lot.

I have my eye on the Camburg long travel front kit with the Deaver rear springs for my Tundra in the not too distant future. The bad thing with the front kit is they say you have to do the flared front fenders and I really would rather not...

Yeah you will have to do Fiberglass fenders otherwise you will crush the stockers. The fiberglass fenders allow for 2" more of up travel which you need. I know with my setup I have slapped the top of the wheel well with my Upper Control Arms, still has the dents to prove it! With my setup I come within 2" of hitting my fender and that is witha 6" lift, but I have limiting straps which will only allow for 4" of droop since I don't feel like replacing axles all the time. But the 6" of up travel sets me right close to the fender with my 37's

with the Camburg LT kit you can run 35's and with even a 2" smaller tire you will still destroy the fenders as you will gain between 4"-6" of front travel.

As far as the Deavers, best mod on the whole truck! I have a 4" Custom LT pack that still has tons of flex but also gives me 4" of lift to match up with the front (gotta sit level no rake here, since the truck sits stock 2 1/2" higher in the rear
