Ok guys so I have been looking for more then an hour and i can't find the do it urself airbox mod on this site. I have found some that show a few pics of what guys have done but not the step by step one that some guys are talking about. Can a moderator sticky it?
On another note from what I have read the idea is to get cool air into the airbox. This is my solution...

I have these little suckers installed in my snowmobile and they work great. They do however need a fairly flat surface to be installed on. My suggestion would be the side of the cover just above where the cover meets the fuel frame rail. What do you guys think?

Part #14-189 and 14-194: SLP part numbers 14-189 and 14-194 are made using a rubber flange to attach the Flow-Rite™ to the surface that it is being installed in. This rubber flange conforms itself to a wide variety of contoured, shaped and textured surfaces for a universal mounting system.

Part #14-197: SLP part number 14-197 is designed for ease of installation on flat or nearly flat surfaces. It requires a 2 1/2" size hole saw which is readily available from any hardware store. Installation is a snap: hole saw the hole, debur the edges, clean hole saw shavings and snap Flow-Rite™ into place.
can you order this online? cause there's no online shop on their site...

got a extra airbox to try it on and test it.

So in that pic where does the air come in...
the see through part of the 'cup' is where the air goes through, it's a gauze.

...and where does the filter fit?
it's for in your airbox cover, not the filter.

;)

The material is completely waterproof but air passes right on thru. I would like to try 2 on each side. An online store to get them from Lefox would be Dennis Kirk
There are 3 types on this page to chose from. I have the bottom ones on my sled but the others work well on curved surfaces.
If I had a spare cover I would do the mod but the bike being only a month old I am too chicken to try. Not very likely I will find an old cover around here either.

The website is www.denniskirk.com and u look under the snowmobile section called intake and fuel. At the bottom of the page u'll see all the brands listed. Click on the SLP brand and all the different intakes will come up. Here is the link again...
