I was just rolling along about 45mph and my bike got wicked loud! I look down and the muffler fell down and started dragging on the street.
I pulled over and the muffler was hanging by the rear strap. So I rigged it up and got to the dealership since my tool kit didn't have much in it. I got the header clamp on and as tight as I could get it, then secured the rear strap. Looks good, so I headed home.
On the freeway doing 80, it did it again! I noticed this time the rear strap was as tight as I could get it, but I was still able to spin it. So I wrench and wedged it between the strap and the muffler, then retightened it. I made it home, but i don't trust it.
I noticed the newer bikes had 2 straps and mine only had one. I will order 2 new straps when the shop opens tomorrow.
Now my nice muffler has a flat spot on it where it hit the ground. I'm pissed.
