Left for work 4/20/12 and got about 2 blocks before hearing something make a noise that sounded like a pop. Can feel the bike dog tracking and the belt is squealing so head back to the house at about 10 mph. Take it apart today 4/22 and sure enough the right side bearing is toast and has already damaged the bearing spacer. The axel and swingarm were undamaged so lucky i was so close to home. By the way its a 09 Uly with 16483 miles. I used to think some people were going overboard with changing the bearings every tire change but now i wonder.

Got off work in time to make it by bearing headquarters before they closed. Picked up two NSK 6006vvc3 at 34.13 each. I hope these last a little longer than stock.

Wow, luck of the draw being close to home! Hope those new bearings will have you set for a while!

Got 13k on my replacement bike (replaced because of bearing failure, axle damage and wheel damage...and took 3 mos. to get fixed). Even though this bike supposedly has non chinese bearings, I will change bearings next tire change. The 1st bike's bearings went out at 14k cruising interstate speed in Montana...felt like riding over rumble stips. Luckily I slowed to half speed before it really got squirrely.

09 ully's should have 3 bearings In the rear

this right here. Unless you bought it used and the PO swapped the rear wheel for a earlier one, you should have two bearings on the pulley side and one on the brake side.

Mine has the two bearing wheel and the so called orange { good } ones say made in taiwan that came out of my bike.

Picked up a new spacer sat. from Gateway hd and got it back on 2 wheels today but noticed something I thought was odd. The bearing spacer is longer than the distance between the two bearings if they are both seated in their bores? Has anyone else noticed this and yes the spacers are the same lenght.

did mine last week with a tyre change, 6006-2rs $11.69 each, bearing man had higher speed rated ones ,that might be yours; but he reckoned up to 200km an hour speeds these are go ???? so for the price i,ll do em every tyre chane....had to clean things up a bit in the hub looks like the previous owner had a mishap at one time.[up][up]

Mungass,

I read somewhere changing the bearings out too much could enlarge the bore of the rim and make the bearings sit in it loosely.

I don't know if it is true, I think if your careful you wouldn't have any problems ... but I don't know if I would change them every tire change.
