Been having comment on my bike on another thread, so I decided to make a thread about the "mods" I did to my bike.

So,I bought the bike in October 2011, bone stock except for the Buell race pipe.

This the "list" of mods I did on my bike. Most of them are just detailling, but it's what makes the difference ... at least for me ...

-K&n air filter
-DCPR9IX iridium spark plugs
-Changed intake seals(RPM's hanging)
-Cheese grater chop
-Licence plate relocating
-Diesel sub frame spacers + repainted rails
-Bar end mirrors
-Led signals
-Shorty levers
-Right hand scoop
-Heat barriers
-Low bars
-MX grips
-Sidestand upgrade
-Tank pad
-Oil changes(Amsoil/primary-mobil 1/engine)
-No money flasher relay mod
-Rear sprocker detailling
-Belt guides removal
-Sprocket cover mod
-2 headlights on
-Polishing the race pipe

So here's the pics ....

Shout out! Whoot!

Great looking bike Big Twin! Nice work on it.

Those sub-frame spacers add so much to the back end. How much difference is the ride when you lift the seat? Any wrist issues from the lean angle? [up]

What was the process you took to polish up that pipe

Started up with steel wool and WD-40 to clean it up and polished it with high gloss polishing paste from Home depot. Ordinary polishing paste but losts of patience ....

Honestly, I don't think there is much of a difference of riding height(rode the bike 3 times before doing the mod),nor wrist issue. The only difference is when putting the seat on. It's a bit difficult ....

Nice work. Those little LED blinkers front and rear look great. Much better looking on the bike than in a picture online.

Does the star spin when riding

Yes, the star is directly on my front sprocket, on a aluminum plate.

Ok we need video of said spinning star! :D

and how did you get it to stay on there

Cleanned the sprocket like I was painting it and "glued" the aluminum plate on it with RTV(silicone gasket maker)

Ok we need video of said spinning star!

I wish I knew how to put it on the forum ..... I'm not really computer savvy ... [sad] I'll try to find a way ...

Where did you get the tail tidy or cheese grater removal? And same question about the frame spacers.
Nica bike by the way, I have exactly the same model in same colours [up]

I did the tail chop my self. There is 2 DIY threads on this forum where it's pretty well explained.

I bought my spacers from DIESEL moto. Really well made, they just need a little "teeking" before the install ...

Tried to link it, but the site seems to be down for now ....
