So decided to venture into DC for some dinner with the wife. First time riding into DC, and I felt like I was going to die. In the end I was able to park in the motorcycle only parking in Adams Morgan in front of the Jumbo slice!

By them time we finished eating it was dark so I got to try out my 55w Hid.

Still on the fence about doing the tail chop.

Not too shabby! Thanks again.
Till next time, Enjoy the ride!

College park! I'm over near Annapolis. Wish I would have read this thread earlier, I have cables among complete bikes of parts sitting here for local Buell people in need! No waiting around.

Where did that Buell come from? I must have missed that ad.

Jeff,

IIRC the ad was in Washington DC CL back in JAN-FEB listed for like 2300. I bought it off a nice guy who lived in DC and was moving out the country. Yeah it really sucked having to wait for the cable. I have seen your ad for the blue firebolt cg. I fell in love with it but then realized my wife would kill me if I even thought about wanting it. Also Love your name as I work for UMD!

Anyways Another random note guys I'm thinking of selling or trading the Corbin seat don't know yet.

what seat are you going with then if you sell the Corbin? the low seat really sucks, very thin, hard on the ass. the standard ones looks like the low seat, but a bit taller and more comfortable. then there's the tallest one made, a bit on the hard side to me, a bit wider than I like.

tall seat

Idk if you can tell by the last 2 pictures. I have what I'm going to assume is the stock low seat on there. It is pretty hard but I feel it's less wide than the Corbin. Also I have been doing a lot of 2up so the Corbin has just been stored.

thrst.... this Friday I was able to take a pic of my seat. this is what I have

While doing that in anticipation for an oem led tail I ordered a while ago I installed my cheap tail flasher.
18693_20140728133220_L.jpg

Now comes the sad story. After installing the flasher I went to a test ride and to return some redbox movies. On my way back home I hit a slick spot on so freshly paved asphalt while trying to stop for a red light. Locked my front tire and all I remember seeing was the sky after wards :(. I am so glad I made it out with just a little rash on my knees and a couple bruises. The road rash could have been less severe if I had actual riding pants instead of jeans. My helmet is a goner, my riding jacket is a goner. my gloves are done. But I am happy as they did their job and protected me :). The bike is sad, all scratched up. I am so glad I installed the frame pucks. The shifter ripped off of the primary. and the peg on that side is gone. I rode home in what I think was second gear.

So all that said parts list for the future:
new primary cover
shifter lever with linkage
Left rider peg
new bar ends
new turn signals
new frame pucks
new helmet
new jacket
new gloves
new riding pants
new riding boots

Sorry for the long post. Cliff notes Wear your gear. Most important stay safe!

Awww!! I am glad you are OK for the most part! I don't have any extra parts you need, but I am sure there are some guys who do. It looks like it should all be available new if that's a route you want to go though. You can fix it!!

[up] thanks wiggle. Yeah I'm on the prowl for the most economical options. But people really want some coin for these parts used. Like you said I might end up having to shell out some dough on new parts.

try Buellsterparts.com, they're in Florida, they have new and used parts, but newcastlehd.com has the best online prices for new parts, great guys to talk with over the phone and more than willing to take the time to help you out

So I'm trying to piece my bike back together. Still looking for a primary cover. But I had a question. Does anybody know of sliders or something to that effect, that would prevent the shifter lever from ripping out from the primary in the future?

So I am officially excited again! She lives! Shout out to Paulpud For shipping me the final piece! Still have major scratches on my lss and on the oil cooler scoop. Also I need a new frame puck on the left side. But I can live with that ( :( I guess) till the end of the season.

Ok so I was debating to cut or not to cut (and install) my traction grips.(I realize I called them torque grips but I cant edit my first post -_-.....Noob Problems) After the crash I figured I need new grips but I have these just sitting there. Decided to butcher them. So I bought some new bar ends. Upon Further analysis I ditched the bar ends :)
