"Go get the keys to the sea chest..." You sailors and Coast Guardsmen know what that is... lol

freaking keys to the sea chest......= so annoying!!!!

along with finding the bulkhead remover..... :/

Totally newb, but is the cable just used for locking up two helmets? Couldn't you just run the D Ring from your chin strap through that lock, or is there not enough clearance for the key with the helmet up so close to it?

Justaerin..............It is indeed a cable to lock your helmet with. Not a very good one but thats what its for.

So are people running this through their D Ring then locking the two loops into the integrated helmet lock? I guess I didn't explain what I was asking well, does one have to use the cable, or will the integrated lock work by itself?

I am able to get the d-ring on it without the cable for one helmet. The cable may make it easier though.

I used to work in a Bradley FV factory and we had "bare hulls" of aluminum Bradleys up on wooden stands until the chassis was added.

Anyway, one of the shop floor "grunts" decided to ring a metal hammer against the hull while my boss, one of the engineer "suits" was inside doing an inspection (no ear protection in those days) - well, blood began pouring from both ears and he's had to wear hearing aids in both ears for well-over 20 years now.

didn't mean to be a downer, but the story was related to one of the posts -wp
