There is a naked SV650 at ECC in escondido with 10,000 miles on it. Ask for Mike the sales manager. Anyone like these?

Nice bikes .. I had an 03. Sounds hecka good, not as uncomfortable as the supersports, sounds good, looks good, sounds good, ultra reliable...

I had one before the buell. Great reliable bike. Only a hair slower than the buell, but smoother. Only really complaint is that it's a bit busy on the highway. Geared a hair lower and runs higher rpms at 75. Also has a higher center of gravity, but vs a buell..isn't everything?

I also had a naked sv650 out of all my bikes before my buell that was probably my favorite

I had an 06 SV650S. It was a lot of fun. Not quite as comfortable feeling in the turns as the Buell but for the reliability factor alone they are worth it. A buddy of mine had an SV1000. Now that bike was fun to ride.

Can't go wrong with the SV's had 22k on mine with no issues before I sold it. Great fun bike. Seat feels like a 2x4 though.

My wife has an 07 with diet bike bars. It's like riding a bmx compared to my clip ons. It's soooo flickable. If I had to get rid of my Buell today, I'd get an SV in a heartbeat. I love em.

Fatty how did you switch to dirt bars? Picture? My wife rides my old 06 650 i think she would like the dirt bars. Any need for new cables?

I'm not sure on the particulars, I wrench on my bike, she wrenches on hers. They're a low profile 7/8" Renthal with a bend from an RM 250. They fit in the stock N clamps, but they were a little wide. I know she had to trim a little off each end (maybe an inch? That's where I'm not sure) and she used the stock cables. I'm pretty sure she had to reroute them, but I don't know exactly.

Hello! Fatty told me about this thread today so I thought I would pipe in.

I did have to re-route the cables but nothing major. Here's a pic of the bike. Looks way better than those stock N bars!
