Need a little input on deciding...

Hey all. I'm new to the site, and soon-to-be new to a Buell XB. I've done some pretty extensive research, but I'm still trying to decide between an XB12Scg and an XB9. I'm a little concerned that I'll be wishing I'd gone with the 12 (for only about $1000 more) if I get the 9. Any thoughts? Or, anyone got any complaints about the XB9?

Well if you ask me I always wanted a 12 and thats what I got; I'm super happy with it but I'll probably put the 9 primary kit on it for even more torque lol.
I did try many 9's and they are great bikes also and I have to say that the only one so far that wheelied on me(not even trying) shifting to second is a 9. All that said they are both very good bikes, I prefer the 12 for more power and torque, not that there is a big noticeable difference but I know it and thats where it count. My advice is go test ride both 9 and 12 and make up your mind from there but if you already think that you might regret getting the 9 instead of the 12 I think you should get the 12.

we all know i dont own a buell but in this case it dosnt matter....get the 12 you will never wish you got the 9.....if you get the 9 as some times goes by you will be kicking your self in the ass for being $1000 away and not getting the 12..... with the 9 your $3000 $4000 away from jumping on a 12 or more

go with the 12 for sure! I have a 12 and my younger brother has a 9 and a co worker does as well. I have rode both and I think that my 12 has alot more power and torque than the 12. Alot of people say there is a small difference but most of those people have never ridden both. Go with the 12 and you will be happy! Both my brother and my co worker agree mine has more power and it was very noticeable.

I rode the 12 and went with the 9...

my decision was based on what I was truly buying the bike for ... Was it all about power for me? No.. it was more the feel and look of the XBs, and both the 12 and 9 share that...

So I just went the way of cheaper insurance.. The 9 still has the grunt and power on tap just not that extra bit that the 12 will give you.. Like I said before you need to base the decision on your style.

Welcome to the Forum and the Madness! [up] I'm partial to the 12 as that is what I have. But it just happened to be what I got the best deal on. For me, at the time it didn't matter. But like they said, I know I wouldn've been wondering about the 12 after some time on the 9. I'm glad I went the 12 route so I don't have to wonder.
