Did the lip break off where the clutch plate thing sits? (real technical words there, I know) Do some searching if so. Mine did that and there's a much better and cheaper fix.

BTW-Also try Lakeshore Harley Davidson/Buell OR lshd1.com for a less expensive way to afford a new Primary/ Transmission Cover. You will need to call your dealer for the proper Part number. Your Primary/Transmission Cover is completely different than newer models. The 2004/2005 are suppposed to be the same and no others wil fit those years of Buell-XB bikes. Check w/ your dealer for proper numbers. You will need the Part#-for matching up to your own bike. More than likely it will be on back order for a while. That year of bike the primary is only made ever so often hopefully there is one around left over from previously made factory items. There are other options as well. good luck.*Jimi

the '03-'05 primary covers are the same. they changed the shift shaft in '06 (made it bigger) so '06-'10 are all the same. ASB has them, they ain't cheap:
