Hello fellow Buell Riders,

I would appreciate some advice on a LED light kit for my 2009 XB12Ss.
Right now I am leaning towards a fusion MC Stage 3 kit.

Is there anything better?

Would a light kit draw much power from my battery and possibly drain it if not in use for a long period of time?

Has anyone ever mounted any wild lighting in wheels?

I would also appreciate mounting & success stories.

Thanks for the help!

Holy crap that's alot of light.
My 1125 has 4 12" smd LEDs sticks from autozone.
One inside each pod across the bottom of the fairing and one up the tail.
LEDs draw a tiny amount of power.
Think cost only like 20/pair

superbrightleds.com has some nice options too... i bought a key-fob switch from there so that I can turn my lights on/off while im away from the bike. my blue led strips are from autozone too, and they look good.

if you get them, lets see some pictures installed.

Can you post some pics of yours lit up?

I have these kits on my XB and Harley, very happy with them:

Thats pretty badass, looks like the spaceships from Close Encounters of the Third Kind [up]

I've seen lighting in wheels at a few builder shows.
Only once have I actually seen a moving bike with lights on in the wheels, was on the highway and dude was haulin past me and cut over and took the next exit.
It certainly grabbed my attention, lights were all yellow, I believe the bike was an R1.
Don't think there is a inexpensive "in wheel" solution, besides the vale cap things.

I'd still like to see the wiring setup, only thing I can think of is a wire that runs down a fork tube to a ring that gets mounted to the wheel, and then wire from the ring to the lights.
Think like a bmx break line on the headset kinda deal.

I always wondered if they use some kind magnet systems mounted on the inside of the fork with coil stickers (like those tattle tags they use for security in the retail stores)only wired and attached to mini LED's if there could be some kind of powered light motion wheel set up that way. Like a crank flashlight.

In my opinion, theirs' quality are good ,which can save a lot power, and the price is cheap.
